Yin to Restore + Restorative
Yin + Restorative
Through the practice of staying in each shape for 3-5 minutes, Yin Yoga not only stretches the muscles, but also the connective tissues. The practice often targets the hips, pelvis and lower spine in a simple practice, appropriate for all ages, levels of fitness and flexibility. This deep practice of stillness is a beautiful, if sometimes challenging, opportunity to connect with our mind and heart. All levels welcome.
Yin to Restore
Yin yoga focuses on stretching the connective tissues and poses are commonly held 3 to 5 minutes in order to access the deeper fascia. Restorative is a meditative practice focused on balancing underlying systems, allowing the person to rest deeply and completely. Poses are fully supported and commonly held for 10 to 15 minutes. Yin to Restore is a gentle, primarily floor-based offering that combines Yin and Restorative approaches. Intended for a wide range of bodies and abilities, Yin to Restore works to calm the body and mind in order to promote healing and wellness. A delightful offering of itself, this class also serves as a bridge and introduction to the dynamic Yin practice, and the still and healing Restorative practice. Yin to Restore is accessible to those in all stages of pregnancy.
