Areas of Study

Techniques, Training, & Practice

This program offers a deeper exploration of various yoga practices, including Vinyasa, Power, Ashtanga, Hatha, Yin, Restorative, Self Awakening Yoga, and Hot Elemental™, while also delving into yoga for special populations such as Senior Yoga, Chair Yoga, Trauma-Informed Yoga, and other adaptive, inclusive modalities. Additionally, participants will study advanced pranayama techniques, meditation methods, and the use of mantra to enrich their teaching and personal practice.

Teaching Methodology

This program covers essential elements for effective yoga instruction, including safety and alignment principles, teaching techniques, and creative sequencing for engaging class experiences. You'll learn to make thoughtful adjustments, communicate authentically, and enhance practices through the use of props. The training also includes guidance on developing a private practice, facilitating small specialized groups, offering personalized practice guidance, and hands-on teaching practicums to refine your skills.

Anatomy & Physiology

This advanced training delves into the exploration of anatomy and bio-mechanics, providing a deeper understanding of the body's movement and structure. Students will also study the energetic aspects of yoga, including the chakras, koshas, vayus, and lines of energy. The program incorporates teachings on the Tristhana Method, mudras, and dhristi, all aimed at enhancing the connection between breath, movement, and focus in practice.

Yoga Philosophy, Lifestyle, & Ethics

Deepen your understanding of Yoga’s history, philosophy, and ethics while also exploring professional and ethical teaching practices. Through self-study and interactive discussions, we will cover topics such as cultural appropriation vs. appreciation, Yoga’s historical lineages, and the modern application of ethical principles in teaching. You will also develop knowledge on how to integrate Ayurvedic principles into your teaching and deepen your understanding around key yogic texts like the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and The Bhagavad Gita to further enrich your knowledge, supporting both your personal practice and professional growth.
